Consultation Fee

Standard Holistic Assessment — £400

A standard clinic consultation without a memory assessment takes up to 60 minutes and costs £400. This includes a comprehensive clinical assessment, preparation of a written report and, where appropriate, coordination of care with your GP.

Memory Assessment — £800

Session 1: Pre-consultation assessment

Before your appointment, you and/or your carer will be asked to complete structured questionnaires. These include validated clinical tools that assess several aspects of cognition, mood, behaviour and day-to-day function.

The questionnaires are reviewed and interpreted before your appointment and used to prepare a clinical summary. This preparation usually involves approximately one hour of consultant time.

Session 2: Clinic consultation

You will have a detailed comprehensive assessment lasting up to 60 minutes. Further cognitive assessment may be undertaken where appropriate.

The findings, likely diagnosis and recommended care plan will be discussed with you. A detailed report will subsequently be provided to you and, with your permission, sent to your GP.

If a consultation needs to continue beyond the expected duration because of clinical complexity, an additional fee of £100 applies for each additional 15 minutes. Reassessment after three months or more is normally treated as a new consultation.

The cost of a home visit depends on the distance from Claremont Hospital.
